The present study investigates the role of mobilization groups in the provision of sustainable security in the border areas of West Azerbaijan Province. This study has been conducted in a descriptive-analytic and survey method. The research data were gathered through library and field studies (using questionnaire). In this questionnaire, open-ended and two-value items were designed for general questions. For specialized questions 5-option Likert scale (very little, little, average, much, very much) questionnaire was employed. The statistical population of the study included the border areas of West Azerbaijan Province. The sample size was estimated as 200. The participants were selected using simple random sampling method. The questionnaires were distributed among and gathered from these participants. The examined indicators were the role of mobilization groups in the provision of sustainable security in border areas with 5 components: the cultural role, the social role, the political role, the economical role, and the security role are in the form of 25 items. For data analysis the GIS10.1, SPSS 20 and LISREL8.8 software were employed. The obtained results confirm the high significant role of mobilization groups in the provision of security in the border areas. By helping and constructing, and also identifying the weaknesses and threats, the mobilization groups play a role in establishing solidarity and mobility development in the urban and rural areas. Finally, the mobilization groups can have a significant role in shaping sustainable security in these areas.
